Obverse: SEVERVS AVG PART MAX.
Laureate head right.
Reverse: VIRT AVGG.
Virtus, draped, standing left wearing a helmet and holding a shield and spear in her left and a small victory in her right hand.
Dimensions: AR, 3.25 g, 20 mm, 6h.

Condition: Minor deposits and flan defaults. Good very fine.
Provenance: From a German collection established over the last 30 years.
Comment: The reverse shows the Virtus, personification of fortitude, of the Augusti. Virtus was one of the virtues and closely linked to the military success as shown here through the Victory.
