References: RIC 369;
BMC 343;
Cohen 68.
Condition: Light toning. Very fine.
Provenance: From a German collection established over the last 30 years.
Comment: Through the unusual style for a Roman denarius, this coin can be attributed to the mint of Emesa.

Bonus Eventus, the personification of the „Good Outcome“ is usually depicted naked. This presentation of a draped is typical for the Severan Eastern mints. The representation with the attributes basket of fruits and grain ears resemble rather Fides than the typical Bonus Eventus.
