Bare head left.
Reverse: LIBERTAS [AV]GVSTA.
Libertas, draped, standing facing, head to right, holding pileus in her raised right hand and extending her left, in the field S C.
Dimensions: AE, 11.15 g, 29 mm, 12h.

Condition: Nice portrait. Some areas of encrustations. Obverse slightly rough. Very fine.

Comment: The imperial Libertas shown on this coin probably refers to the governmental relaxation under Claudius. His predecessor, Gaius Caligula, is even today well known for his despotic reign.
